10 things i love about you...

well, not you really :)
I never posted pictures of the book that I made Adam for Christmas!
I used Elsie's "10 things i love about you" kit that I purchased from RVA.
I had made Adam a "10 things i love about you" book when we first met so I decided to do a married edition for his present.
Here we go:

I put a white piece of paper behind the clear pocket pages for the pictures to give you a better idea of what the pages look like.
I really love the simplicity of this book :)
As you can see from this book and my last mini book that I posted, I have really turned to a more simple, upcycled style in my scrapbooks. I like using items that I just have laying around and random supplies. I literally can't even tell you the last time I have been to a Scrapbook store :)
I hope you enjoy this book. It was a huge hit with Adam :)

**Speaking of Adam, his heart surgery that was supposed to be tomorrow has been unfortunately re-scheduled for March. There were some insurance issues (!!!!) so we have to wait until Adam's new insurance from ATT kicks in for his surgery to be covered. We are still unfortunately stuck with over $6,000 worth of bills from the ER and doctor visits. Isn't insurance kind of lame??
On the plus side though, God provides and we are just thankful that we were able to re-schedule, and that his new insurance will completely cover his surgery and he will feel soooo much better :) PTL!
AND...Adam's dad was planning to fly in for the surgery and decided to keep with his plans and is flying in today! Yay! We are so excited to be able to spend some time with him this week!
Soooooo happy!
Ok I will be back later for more loveliness so please check back.
I love you <3
xoxo

  2. this book is pretty cute <3 i bet he was happy, right?! :D

but it makes me really angry reading about the trouble you are having with your health ensurance. maybe it's because i am from germany and everyone (!) here has free (well, sort of...) health care. i always wonder why a big and modern country like the US is having such a baaaaaaaaaad health care system. guess, i will never understand.

but i am really happy for you that the new insurance will pay for the surgery <3 even if this means, you will have to wait until march....

and also it sounds great that adam's dad is coming to visit <3 sweet!

that sucks about the insurance. i have had the same issues. sometimes i wonder how you can be billed from 5 different places for 1 er visit!

  8. Your book is so special. I can feel the love. You look like such a beautiful couple and you also look like you are best friends.
I am so sorry you have to wait until March Adam and Janel. Just take it easy until then.
I know health care to governments is low down the list on their priorities, but if you don't have your health, you don't have anything.

  10. I love your scrapbook style! It is pretty similar to what mine would be if I ever actually scrapbooked much. And isn't it great being married to men that appreciate stuff like this? For Tyler for Christmas I made a book about 10 of my favorite memories with him. He really liked it!

    Hope your day is great!

that sucks about adam's surgery, but at least you guys will get to spend time with his dad, and that waiting for the new insurance gets the operation fully covered!

Insurance is super lame. I've been trying to get a breast reduction for like three years now. Arg. Hope everything goes ok!
