i'm so jealous that you can make grannies. i'm terrified to even attempt to knit.
ReplyDelete& i haven't seen wtwta yet. :(
hopefully i can see it soon. but i heard its a real tear jerker!
Hey Janel,
ReplyDeleteJust want to say that I love your blog and your style. I saw WTWTA and it was kind of mismarketed. It shows these cute monsters and a boy running off into the sunset but in reality, the movie was only inspired by the book, not really about the book. It is a great movie but it is really intense because Max is pretty angry about stuff that is going on in his life. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say too much more, except that it isn't so much sad as intense. Definately not a kids show either.
I thought it was sad because max is just a little kid and is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders...and even in his imginary world the "wild things" have grown up problems too. but despite it being a bit of a downer at some points in the movie, I still really liked it. so how many granny squares have your finished now??
ReplyDeletegranny eyes i must say are a little creepy. glad you now are making them non stop though
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the celebrity in the blogging world! :)
ReplyDeleteLook at you with the granny squares! It seems like only yesterday you were struggling to learn -- now they look perfect. Good job! :o)
ReplyDeleteso cool! wait, how do you know how many followers you have? lol
ReplyDeleteYay!! 200! How awesome. You must tell me your secrets.
ReplyDeleteWTWTA is just a lot heavier than the previews make it out to be. Max is a little kid dealing with adult problems.
WTWTA is sad, for all those reasons above, but very pretty to watch, cinematography-wise... I would still recommend it 100% - but just don't go into it thinking it's a sweet cute happy movie - cuz it ain't.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I asked the same thing on facebook today. Got some good responses, pretty much the same as already here, but I still can't wait to see it!!! And I'm still taking the boys cuz life isn't all gumdrops and rainbows!!!! Fo sho. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this pic. =)
Either your e-mail button isn't working, or my computer is being funny. Everyone hit it kind of right on the head about the movie... it was amazing, but not happy. The main theme to the movie was loneliness. It felt like the whole thing was a metaphor for kids going through their parents divorcing. But I took my 3-year-old and she still loved it :)
ReplyDeleteif you can do it, i can do it for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe weekend was amazing, the Lord was watching over us. Thankyou for being an awesome MOH. Love KAB
