Ohmygoodness! I am finished with my first project for Elsie and Rachel's online class that starts today. I must say...I am absolutely in love with this project.
This project is a mini album made out of embroidery hoops. I decided to make "Our Home" be the theme of this album. I wanted a place to document Adam and I's first place together as a family and I definitely think that this book will serve that purpose.
Here is the front cover made with vintage fabric and doilies and embroidery and tied together with a satin ribbon:
A shot of the front and back covers:
The inside covers:
Each page has a room description on the front and I will put mini polaroids (from my Fuji Instax) on the backside along with a little journaling about each room!
And as you can see in this next picture, all of the pages just nestle into the embroidery hoop...perfect:
'm going to say it again...I LOVE THIS BOOK. It is so fresh and unique and a perfect example of how cool Rachel Denbow is for thinking of it :)
I am already starting another one that I am going to give as a Christmas gift possibly...sweeeeeeeet!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

I love it! Such an awesome idea. I would have never thought to make an album out of embroidery hoops. Where oh, where did you get that wood grain for your lettering and such? Is it contact paper? I think you did a great job! I so regret not taking the autumn online class. Next time, I am going to be one of the first ones to sign up.
