Springfield Fun!!

Yay! I am back to post more about my awesome weekend. This weekend, Nicole and I traveled to Springfield, Missouri to attend the Grand Opening of Red Velvet Art.
Elsie and Rachel have been huge inspirations in my creative journey over this past year. I took one online class with Elsie (which was amazing) and am signed up for the next one (can NOT wait)! They are super awesome and really close to St. Louis so we decided that we had to be there to show our support for their big Grand Opening. First of all, I am sure that I don't have to tell you how stinkin cute the store is...









My favorite part was obviously meeting these two lovelies.
They are even ten times cooler in person :)
So, I definitely bought way too much :) but I was supporting local artists so it's okay it was awesome and inspiring and I am so exited that they are living their dream!
After RVA we met up with Ellen and headed down to Springfield's Art Walk. It was really cool. I hadn't realized how super cool Springfield is. It is very artsy and full of so many cool shops and coffee houses. LOVED IT! Even their library is super fun! Here are some random pics from Art Walk:




Today we took Rachel's advice and did some flea market/antique mall shopping! One of the shop's name was STD! Too funny. We had a lot of fun and found some treasures too!

Finally, we ended our Springfield trip with some delicous pizza at Pizza House on Commercial Street...yummmm!


Needless to say, this weekend was a blast and I can not wait to finish putting away all of my new RVA treasures in my house. If you live close enough to Springfield I really suggest that you make a trip down there. It is such a neat area and if you need a traveling friend, let me know :)
