geocache

I have had a ton of people asking me lately what this crazy new hobby of mine is.
Well, it's geocaching :)
Geocaching is like treasure hunting. It gets me outdoors, hiking, walking the dog, and spending time with my awesome family :)
I could try to explain it more but I found this rad movie trailer for Splinterheads that explains it better than I could!

loooove it.
Anyone can do it. All you need is a GPS, or even an iPhone. Here is the website where you can get all of the info, create a profile, find cache's near you, and download the iphone app.
Do any of you cache?
If you haven't done it yet but are going to try let me know!! I want to hear about your adventures :)
I am having so much fun collecting little treasures at every one I find.
Today, was Adam's first time going with me and he is a natural!
Have a great day friends!

  2. I used to "geocache" quite a lot but now I don't do it that often. When I found out about geocaching, I felt like Alice in Wonderland because I found out there are boxes and containers out there waiting to be found without being noticed by ordinary people :D

  3. My moms boyfriend has been doing this for awhile now.
Sounds like a great time. I wouldn't mind to do go at least once.

  8. That sounds awesome. I have friend who do Geocache around Alaska. I've never been myself. I might want to give it a try. I definitely want to get out more this summer.

  9. Have you tried any of the puzzle ones yet? My hubby and I went today to do it, but he got us lost and wouldn't listen to me even though I had the gps, soooo we never got to it lol. It is a great way to get outside and hike, it is so exciting to search for them all too! <3 Sonja

  12. Wow! I had heard about geocacching before but never knew what it was. That sounds like so much fun. It would be so cool to pretend I was a pirate looking for buried treasure :)

  13. i don't really understand it yet but I wanna learn. My mom, cousin, and I went searching yesterday in a cemetary. We didn't find anything but we didn't know the coordinates either. It was a little adventure on moms birthday so it was fun.

  16. So cool! I've been searching for the perfect gift for my dad's birthday on Sunday - he's impossible to buy for. But this is such a great idea and i just know he would love it! I went out and bought a book about geocaching for him but the real gift will be doing it with him. Thanks so much!!
