reading in 2012

Last year I set a goal, on Goodreads, to read 100 books in 2011 and I was 18 books shy of reaching it.
This year I decided to make my goal more attainable, a put it at 50 books in 2012.
I hit my goal of 50 books in late July and decided to bump my goal up to 75 books in 2012.  Today, I finished reading my 75 book this year :)
Since it's December 1, I don't think I am going to get wicked ambitious and set my goal any higher.  I am going to be happy that I met goal and initially exceeded my original goal.
Here are the books that I have read so far this year.

My guess is that I will probably read about 5 more before the year is over (because I am totally hooked on Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series and want to finish it).
Reading is my favorite.
Have you read any good books lately?

  4. Very impressive!! I wish I spent my free time reading instead of Facebook. Urgh.

You should read In Their Own Voices. It's a collection of interviews from transracially adopted children. I loved it.

  9. Tell the Wolves I'm Home is the best book I've read recently. Honestly, it's probably in my top ten of all time. I used to be an eighth grade language arts teacher and read over 100 books per year. Now with baby and husband, I read around 30? Maybe less. I do use Good Reads to keep track. I have just re-discovered audio books and am using them a lot, since I am in the car for work a lot. That should help me find the time to read.
