reading in 2012

Last year I set a goal, on Goodreads, to read 100 books in 2011 and I was 18 books shy of reaching it.
This year I decided to make my goal more attainable, a put it at 50 books in 2012.
I hit my goal of 50 books in late July and decided to bump my goal up to 75 books in 2012.  Today, I finished reading my 75 book this year :)
Since it's December 1, I don't think I am going to get wicked ambitious and set my goal any higher.  I am going to be happy that I met goal and initially exceeded my original goal.
Here are the books that I have read so far this year.

My guess is that I will probably read about 5 more before the year is over (because I am totally hooked on Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series and want to finish it).
Reading is my favorite.
Have you read any good books lately?

  1. I'm currently reading the Divergent series and LOVING it :)

    Christen Krumm

  2. I've read 70 books on my Kindle this yera, plus others in paper form. Lots of them are on your list too. Currentlu reading The Mystery of Critchly Hall' because I missed most of the TV series, and lkoving it

  3. there is one book that i think you would love it's called death by chick lit. i really think you would enjoy it. :)

  4. Very impressive!! I wish I spent my free time reading instead of Facebook. Urgh.

You should read In Their Own Voices. It's a collection of interviews from transracially adopted children. I loved it.

  5. this makes me curious to keep track of how many books i've read in a year, i know it's a lot but i've never kept track, hmm maybe for 2013 i will :) i recently read hold still by nina lacour. excellent, i couldn't put it down.

  6. This is great! I think I will set myself a goal!

  7. Gone Girl is wonderful and keeps you on your toes. I started this year keeping track but forgot since Feb.Oh well maybe this year.

  8. I'd love to hear which were the books that really stood out for you, from this list

  9. Tell the Wolves I'm Home is the best book I've read recently. Honestly, it's probably in my top ten of all time. I used to be an eighth grade language arts teacher and read over 100 books per year. Now with baby and husband, I read around 30? Maybe less. I do use Good Reads to keep track. I have just re-discovered audio books and am using them a lot, since I am in the car for work a lot. That should help me find the time to read.
