After our trip to the nursery, it was time to get the succulents planted :)
Target had these PERFECT plastic pots which were exactly what I was looking for. I also loved how affordable they were. I also scored some other planters as well that I am saving for flowers.
Unfortunately, we had about four carpenter bees hanging outside on our balcony so we decided to do our planting in the kitchen instead :)
A few years ago, I ordered the adorable little dino planter from this shop. The succulent in the dino was getting too big so I wanted to transplant it and put a newer, smaller one in the dinosaur.
After everything was planted, we set everything up outside and enjoyed the fresh air :)
We also transplanted the lavender too and can I just say that it already smells so amazing out there!!! I can't wait for the lavender to really take off!!
Now we have a lovely little outside area to read with Amelia and relax outdoors. The weather has been so great here and we are loving soaking it all up together!!
Also, I scored this amazing rug at the DOLLAR STORE!! It is so perfect and fun and cheap. Plus, it looks so perfect out there with all of the other bright colors :)
Next up in the garden, I am going to be making an herb garden!!
Stacy posted this herb garden she made and I am in love with it.
Her directions make it sound super easy to recreate and it will go perfectly out on our balcony! This is definitely a project I will trying out soon :)
I hope you all are having an awesome weekend as well!!
Today my friends and family threw Amelia and I a little "shower" of sorts! It was incredible and I can not wait to share photos with you!!!
blessings!

I love those planters! I saw them at Target and thought the same thing- great for succulents! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Carpenter bees don't bother you much, do they? I gardened professionally and was always surrounded by them. I got stung only once and that was because a little guy landed on my hose and I clamped my hand down on him.
Your balcony looks very sweet. Spring has sprung!
That is the cutest decorated little area! You have done so much beauty in a small area. I am so impressed!
ReplyDeleteUgh, those carpenter bees drive me crazy! We have them all over our back yard. I love the dino planters! I have seen those before and I want one so badly!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! What a perfect little garden! The dinosaur planter is amazing. I bet your patio smells incredible right now!
ReplyDeleteI love your little garden!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to give my poor little neglected patio a much needed makeover! :)
I love the dinosaur planters. In fact, I've been trying to place a custom order with that exact seller for months, I thought the planters would be so perfect in my sons nursery (http://ricracheartattack.squarespace.com/ric-rac-heart-attack/2012/3/21/baby-boys-nursery.html.
ReplyDeleteI see they are now on vacation so hopefully I can get a response when they return.
I can't wait to get started on my own garden! Your post has definitely inspired me!
