last week!

Yes, it is the last week of school for this school year!!
I am soooo excited.
I have very big plans which include a pool, soft pretzels, and a killer tan.
That's my summer :)
This weekend was amazing! I was able to spend lots of time with Adam. We even went on a geocache adventure last night at eleven o'clock so that I could have my very first FTF ( first to find). It was awesome. I love him.

a lovely saturday

Indeed it was :) I had two sweet chihuahuas hanging out with me today.
I got 10 pairs of Old Navy flip-flops for their annual $1 sale (thanks Nicole and Mom).
I wore a dress for the third time this week and felt great.
I completed some art journal pages too...

I have also been thinking a lot :)
Do you ever feel sooo tiny in this world?
Like there is soo much to do and so many people to help and so many wrong things that need to be changed?
Sometimes I feel helpless in that way.
When I see things that are happening all over this world and I can't even fathom it it's so horrible, all I want to do is help.
I have been thinking about that a lot.
I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I have been reading a book series that takes place in Botswana and refers a lot to many tragic things happening in Africa all over.
Blah.
It makes me sad.
I want to help!
Anyway, here is one of my (many many) favorite quotes from Martin Luther King Jr. that I will leave you all with tonight :)

9. And finally, my most favorite antique/vintage shopping score EVER!! This amazing full size, 1930's, hand sewn, GORGEOUS, amazing condition quilt. It's our new quilt for our bed and I am in loooooooooove.


So much silly stuff to be thankful for. It makes me wonder how I ever have anything to complain about when I have sooo much more than I could ever need.

sleep over!

Last night, Adam and I had the cuuuuutest little sleep over guest :)


Seriously, could little Picasso get any cuter!!
I love him.
Also, I have reading the book series, "The No.1 Ladies' Detective Angency," and I am in love.
I want to go to Africa soooo bad! I have always wanted to go do mission work or volunteer work there and this series is just fueling that fire.
