the wait

The waiting is probably one of the hardest parts of the adoption process.
There are only so many projects we can do, at home, to keep our mind off of the wait.
*  Our home study is finished
*  Our nursery is sooo close to being ready
*  We are pretty sure that we have an agency.
*  We received a call today from our social worker with a "possibility"
The one thing that goes hand in hand with a small possibility is a BIG risk.
The text message said to "Guard you heart."
I'm not really sure that I know how to do that!!
Adam and I need to do some serious talking and praying tonight.
In the meantime...I'm just going to continue working on the nursery...

"Waiting is not just something we have to do until we get what we want. Waiting is part of the process of becoming what God wants us to be."

home study

Tomorrow is our first official "Home Study."  This is where our social worker will come to our house, check it out, make sure it's safe, baby appropriate, and such.
We will also be interviewed separately and as a couple.
If you think about it, please say a little prayer for Adam and I tomorrow as we venture through this journey.
thank you and love you.

homestudy

For the past week, I have been spending every single spare minute on our Home study Application.  I have become kind of obsessed to be honest :)  When I'm not working on it, I am thinking about it.  This home study is helping us get one step closer to our forever family!!
There are so many supporting documents needed, autobiographies written, and essay questions to answer.
I am loving every single minute of it!!
My goal is to have everything finished and turned in before we leave for Massachusetts on July 23.  See, when I write it on my blog, I become accountable.
Wish me luck.
If it gets quiet around here this weekend, you now know why.
love.
