Christmas time is HERE!  Well, at least it is in our home :)  The weather (75 degrees) says otherwise, and truth be told, I am totally ok with that.

Every year, on November 5, I put up my Christmas tree, I can't help it!

Here is a little peek, through the eye of my iphone, of our decorations so far.

Hmmm...these photos are making me wonder where my little Christmas Putz houses are?

I also did some online Christmas shopping last night since it's free shipping over at Amazon :)  I am finding that I have no idea what I want for Christmas. Adam keeps asking me for my wish list but I seriously have nothing on it yet!

I can find a million baby things that I want for our soon-to-be or for the nursery but not a single thing for myself.  Technically, I am going to say that that is a good thing.  I have my family, I have my friends, I have a cute house, and perfect puppy, and we are all healthy.  Besides a baby, what else could a girl ask for?

That's because it's Memorial Day!!  

Which means, no school!

It also means a cook-out with my family, another full day with Adam, and time to play on my new computer.

We have had such a wonderful weekend.

We have done a lot of cleaning, putting stuff into garage sale piles, reading, and eating :)

The sun is finally shining again here in St. Louis which is so refreshing too. 

I spent almost all of yesterday outside in my parent's backyard with the dogs.

Finally, I wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the people who have served, and died for our country.  It saddens me to think about wars and fighting and innocent lives lost because of it but I am truly thankful to be part of a country where we have so much freedom and that is due our military who have fought for it.

a mid-century mother's day

When I received an email about this event, I knew it was the perfect thing for my mom and I to do for Mother's Day.  Ladue Estates is the first mid-century modern neighborhood in Missouri which is so cool.  The lovely residents opened up their homes and their streets for tours!

I will let the photos do most of the talking because they are gorgeous :)

I love all of the history and the architectural information that we learned on the tour.  I can officially say that I know all of the architectural elements that makes a home "mid century modern."

and here are some photos from the insides of these lovely mid century homes...

This home was very mid-century modern with it's interior design as well.  It was really cool because it was like stepping into my grandma's house.  The furniture and nick-knacks resemble my grandma's style so much!

This home was very very modern and minimialistic.  Like most of the rooms only had a couple of pieces of furniture and that is it!  it was beautiful and it was a pleasure to see these pieces in person!

This home was my favorite and it's seriously only because this amazing kitchen!!  This was the original GE kitchen set-up that was put into all of the homes when they were built!  Only three homes in the whole subdivision have kept theirs and we were super blessed to catch a peek at one!

Why hello there May!

Is it just me or has life just completely flown by?

May means that school is seriously over, so so soon.

I can not believe it.

This year, "May Day" will be for:

1.  getting some new tennis shoes (sneakers?, trainers?, what do you call them?)

2.  Playing with my new phone!

3.  lunch out with my honey

4.  antique malls

5.  working on my journal pages for, Ink Blots

6.  being outside 

7. chinese food for dinner.

Sounds like a great day to me.

My question for you is...

"What is May Day really supposed to be for?"

seriously, I have no idea.

All I know is that I would seriously like to see a May Pole somewhere.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Well hello there lovers!

I just wanted to pop into to wish all of you a very happy valentine's day.

Adam and I celebrated yesterday and it was wonderful.

He showered me with Trader Joe's chocolates and flowers...my favorite!!

I covered our living room wall with a Banner, instax photos, love letters, valentines, love inspired photos from weheartit, embroidery, doilies, and paper hearts.  

It was the biggest valentine ever and he loved it <3

 I took a photo of it for my Week 7 Instax pic too!

I think we will leave it up for awhile :)

I heart you!

Wow, this month is actually moving really fast already!!

I know it's only the 4th but that means only 10 more days until Valentine's Day.

Adam and I also have our 2 year anniversary this month!

Plus, we have all of our fun (but time consuming) Push for Pita goodness going on this month.

Now, because I teach art at an elementary school, kindergarten through fifth graders, we celebrate Valentine's Day.

They still have parties, and treats and, of course, the trading of Valentines!!

I need to get serious about making my cards!  Here are some adorable Valentines that I pinned on  Pintrest this morning for some V-day inspiration :)

P.S. I am totally doing this to either Catalina or Picasso this year <3

Merrry Christmas!!

I just wanted to pop in to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!

I hope that all of you are having a blessed holiday season!

We have been having such a great time over here.

My husband was way too good to me this year :)

I had an amazing "Cha-Cha" Christmas with all of my college girlfriends.

An amazing Christmas Eve making leather journals with my sister and dad.

A super fun Advent Scavenger hunt this morning that led me to so many adorable stocking stuffers and...

WEDDING BANDS!

I never got a wedding band before because my engagement ring was so bling-a-licous by itself.

But Adam surprised me with these...

Well, not the actual ring yet because we have to make our fingerprints in plaster and all of that fun stuff and then send them back to be made but....sigh....he's the best.

Tomorrow morning super early, I leave for Vegas.  I hate flying, for no reason other than I hate the way my head feels during take-off. If you are a prayer, if you could send some prayers my way for a peaceful flight with no anxieties...that would be great.
