One of my Spring Break goals was to see another Frank Lloyd Wright house.  This was also another one of my 30 before 31 goals.  I have seen all of the homes that are within a couple hours of a drive from St. Louis so I was a little stressed as to how I was going to accomplish this goal.  I am so not a fan of driving.  Little did I know, my dad knew of a privately owned FLW house right here in St. Louis in a secluded little wooded area.

So with that, my mom, dad and I piled in the car with the camera and headed over there.  It is definitely hard to see from any roads and is way far down a gravel driveway.  My mom, being the rebel that she is, drove right down the driveway and we hopped out to take photos for my goal book and blog.

No one was there and sadly, it looks pretty run down but still AMAZING.

Can you even imagine living in a FLW home? Oh my goodness what a dream!

So yeah, another goal crossed off the list. 

AND another reason to love my parents so much.

spring break

After tomorrow, I will officially be on Spring Break :)

I seriously can not wait to have a little bit of a break from work.

I usually have big travel plans for spring break but this year, my spring break will include:

1.  a LOT of spackeling, patching, and painting in the condo.  Neutral walls...here we come...

2. reading outside in the fresh air...

3.  doing some sight-seeing in my awesome city...

4. hitting up all kinds of antique malls searching for treasure...

5. and hopefully finding a Frank Lloyd Wright house somewhere nearby that I have not visited yet.  I need to get that one checked of my 30 before 31 list.

Most of all, I am looking forward to sleeping in, spending time with my family and snuggling with my girl, Catalina :)

the new house!!!

Welcome to 12952 Ocean Drive...

This is the *AMAZING* dollhouse that I got for Christmas!

I am seriously really excited about this new hobby (you know, because I need another one).

I can't wait to fill up to look like my dream little modern home :)

So far, I have two pieces of furniture...

I actually had these from a couple of years ago.  I think I got them in a Frank Lloyd Wright House gift shop.  They are one of those "blind box" deals and I, of course, got two of the same.  

Fortunately, now I have a place for them and Im glad I have two of the same :)

There are way too many cute mini blogs and mini sites for 1:12 scale modern furniture and houses.

LOVE IT.

Oh, and speaking of Christmas gifts, and mini houses, and Frank Lloyd Wright, here is another rad thing that I got as a gift...

I absolutely love this home and I love that I made it out of Legos!

I love the Lego line of architectural buildings.

The cool thing is that Adam and I have visited this house and it hold a very special place in our hearts.

It seriously took me 4 hours to put this thing together. lol.

Everything is cuter in mini right?
