Renegade-the mini.

Last night, I finished my little Renegade Mini Album :)  If you are new to my blog, I like to make little mini albums for every trip I take and for all special occasions! You can see all of my mini books in my Flickr feed!
Our Chicago trip was magic and I hope that this mini book gives you a little peek into the fun that was had.

I put all of the cute business cards that I gathered from booths and placed them in this cute little linen bag.  I stapled the bag onto this page so I can always go back and check out the cute shops that were represented there.

Oh and speaking of mini albums...I finished Lindsay's Goal Book :)  I love love love the cover!!

Happy Project Runway day!!

Sponsor Feature from Courtney!!

I'm pretty sure we all know how much I adore Courtney!! She is my personal graphic designer for everything I do :) Not to mention she is a wonderful friend! xo

1.  Hello! I am Courtney (or Court or Core) and you may know me from my blog You Will…Won’t You? I am a 27 year old artist who has been working as a commercial photographer, photo stylist and graphic designer. I carry three cameras and two sketchbooks with me everywhere I go. I have been creating my whole life and love to share my creations and endeavors with the world. Oh yeah…and every other letter of my name spell ‘Cute’…I am just trying to live up to it by putting beautiful things out for everyone to enjoy.

My Etsy shop is currently my favorite place for me to sell all of my handmade and designed items. The majority of items I create are stickers but I have a handful of secret projects going on that will soon be appearing in my Etsy shop. I am so super excited to share them with you (HINT: Some include the artwork of my VERY talented boyfriend!)

So I don’t know it you would call this an Autumn tradition but in the fall I try to pack in as many horror movie nights (my favorite!) as I possibly can. That and well, soup making! In the fall I like to open my windows, turn the heat off, turn the stove on and make soup all day every day! It’s pretty much all I eat when the temperature drops.

Giveaway!
I would LOVE to giveaway one of my super special Fall Sticker Packs to one lucky reader! Included in the Fall Sticker Pack are five individual designs professionally printed to 1.5”circles. Perfect for you art journal or scrapbook layouts.

To join this giveaway please follow my blog at You Will…Won’t You? And leave a comment here, on this post, letting Janel know!
Do you want another entry?
Leave a comment telling me what kinds of items you would love to see from me in my shop.

I will be choosing a winner this Friday, September 24 so check back!!!

Sponsor Feature and Giveaway with Paint.Paper.Play!

We are back with another cute sponsor feature and giveaway!!!
Please  Check out Jessica from Paint. Paper. Play!!

My name is Jessica Loughrey. I am married and we have a five year old daughter. I have loved art since I was a child. Growing up I was very into fashion and books. I was always reading and sketching. Today I've translated those two loves into a passion for art journals and art dolls.

You can find me here:

I write a blog called Paint. Paper. Play. It's an art blog featuring many, many photos of my various projects. I've also started writing a weekly feature post on Tuesdays called Tutorial Tuesday. So far I've done four tutorials. The newest one is here (http://jessicaloughrey.blogspot.com/2010/09/tutorial-tuesday-to-dye-for.html) I plan to also feature the results of me doing tutorials from other blogs.
I also have a shop on etsy (also called Paint. Paper. Play.) Currently the shop features a selection of art journals, art dolls, mini art quilts, painted papers and clutch purses for sale. I am working on new products to add to my shop including holiday/seasonal themed items.

I don't really have any autumn traditions, although I definitely love to pull out my camera and take lots of photos of the changing leaves. I love all of the gorgeous colors. Also I ate some crazy delicious apple bars today that I just may have to start baking.

I will be offering two giveaways, each giveaway features books and/or magazines. Both giveaways will also come with a packet of my painted papers. To enter please leave a comment here, be sure to specify which giveaway you are interested in.

Giveaway 1:  Altered Books 101 and Crafting Personal Shrines.
Giveaway 2:  The Rubber Stampers Bible, Scrapbook Trends: Stamping (magazine) and Stampers Sampler Dec/Jan 04 (magazine)

You have until Sunday night to enter the giveaway and Jessica will draw two winners on Monday.

Sponsor Feature and Giveaway from Pamplemousse!

Please say hello to another one of my ADORABLE sponsors for the month of September!  Cute Maryam is the blogger and artist behind Pamplemousse1983!  Her prints are so amazing and so are her journal pages!!! :)

Hello fabulous readers!  My name is Maryam and I write the blog Pamplemousse1983 and run the Etsy shop Pamplemousse1983.  I am 27 years old and an Aries.  I like long walks on the beach and kissing in the rain.  I live in Dallas, Texas and have been here for 9 years, but I was born and raised on the island of Guam.  I miss it terribly and am going back for a visit in December and I can't wait to stuff my face with delicious food!  I love to eat, read, take pictures, spend time with my husband and puppies and craft!  I am kind of ADD and haven't stuck to one type of craft and I like to try new things.  I love embroidery and journaling and drawing and collaging and learning to sew and the list goes on and on!

I started blogging when a friend of mine did and though hers fizzled out I have kept blogging for over a year.  I think that's the longest I've stuck to one hobby!  I don't particularly love to write...well, I hate writing, really.  So you won't typically find a lot of words, but I do share a lot of pictures and things that inspire me.  I love to read blogs and so I blog.  Does that make sense?  I'm not sure where I was going with that.  Anyway, I started my Etsy shop a while ago but got a little overwhelmed and shut it down for a while.  Over the summer I realized how much I miss that creative outlet and stocked it with some new images.  I really really love what I have up there now, and I hope to add some of my more crafty items as well!

And what about YOUR favorite autumn tradition??

Uhmmm...PUMPKIN PIE.   I can taste it in my mouth right now.  I heard there was a pumpkin pie filling shortage and so I found two cans at Whole Foods and bought them today.  Because I was afraid there wouldn't be any by the time the weather really cools down.  Mmmmm pumpkin pie....Has anyone ever made a pumpkin pie donut?  I think I'll have to try that...

Maryam is ALSO sharing another amazing giveaway with Run With Scissors readers!!!
She is giving away a 5x5  metallic print called Lily.

All you have to do is check out her shop and blog and leave her a compliment here on this post!! It's always nice to hear something nice right??

I will be choosing a winner this Friday, September 24 so check back!!!

Sponsor Feature and Giveaway from Kyla!!

I'm back today with another adorable Run With Scissors Sponsor- Kyla from One Late Night :)

and here is where you kind find her :)
Blog - http://onelatenight3point14.blogspot.com/
Etsy Shop- http://www.etsy.com/shop/onelatenight

Hello All! I’m Kyla, or OneLateNight as some of you may know me. I’m 26 and live in Canada. Ever since I was little I wanted to be some type of artist, I just liked to create. I love all things crafty, thrifty and beautiful. My camera is an extension of my body, and I’m never found without it. I giggle way too much for my own good, and love way to hard! Fake moustaches make me a happy camper!

My blog The Fiction We Live was originally started just as something to pass the time. I think I have really grown into it at this point! Its chalked full of Pictures, DIY’s, Random Loves, Shenanigans and just silly things that make up me. My Etsy Shop however is full of lots of my Plush goodies, and Vintage. I get super excited when I get to make Custom Plush Cameras! Once completed I just can’t wait to squish it! Lots of new goodies are in the works, and I’m really excited about them all!

Do you have a favorite Autumn tradition?

I don’t think I have an autumn tradition really. It’s more of a countdown to the best season ever created. I love sweaters, hats and hot chocolate. My computer seems to fill up with 100’s of pictures of leaves, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Everything gets more cozy when autumn rolls around, and it’s my last hurrah before winter comes and takes away the ability for people to drive normally in my city! Haha.

And now friends, here is the giveaway!!

All you have to do is check out her shop and blog and leave her a compliment here on this post!!
You can also become a follower of her blog, as there is another super cute fall giveaway to come within the week.

The winner will receive a Like Leather Plush Camera! One of my favorite colour combinations, Brown and Aqua.

The base is all felt, with a great piece of vintage leather fabric on the front, and strap!

Just make sure to leave a comment here for any additional entries too.
I will be choosing a winner this Friday, September 24 so check back!!!

My blog, Little Chief Honeybee, is home to all things whimsical and wonderful! I like to share pretty things and document my outfits, adventures, yummy foods and crafty bits! My etsy shop, Sweet Pea by Kaelah Bee, is a mix of vintage fabrics and floral finds in a fun, rosette fashion! (With vintage and paper goodies to be added soon!)

And since I am super obsessed with the upcoming season, can you share with us what your favorite autumn tradition is?

I can't quite say that I have any yet but the fella and I are planning on making evening walks with coffee in hand (and puppy park visits!) a staple in our days, as well as pumpkin carving and nights spent around the fire pit! (I'm so excited about that one!)

19 September 2010

getting crafty

So, this week was pretty much super amazing!!  I had such a great time hanging out with great friends old and new!  I didn't take any pictures at all :(  What was I thinking? But the other girls did, and as soon as I get pictures from them, I will do a proper post about the fun!
It included pizza, a painting party, "catch-up" time, glitter, rope climbing, hamster wheel running, dancing in fountains, sponge diving, and so much more! Yes, it was that kind of a weekend :)
Today, was all about down time and crafting :)
I am currently working on two mini-albums...

1.  I am working on a custom album for my friend Lindsay :)  She really liked my "30 Before 31" goal mini, and asked if I would make one for her!!  I love doing custom work so of course I said yes!
Here is a little sneak peek!  I want the rest to be a surprise from Lindsay.

2.  I am also working on creating a little mini book to commemorate my awesome trip to Renegade Chicago this year :) I will have more pages from this one to share later but for now...here is the cover:

So, that is what's happening here :)  I promise to post more about this weekend as soon as I can :)
love love love you all!
